Antipodean connections

John Golding, brother of Alice Florence Golding, born 1857, (baptised 3 August, 1857) studied dairy farming at Glasnevin, Dublin, before emigrating to New Zealand. He married, in Ireland, but had no children and his wife did not emigrate with him. Nothing was heard of him in Ireland after he emigrated.

Monica Mary Golding, sister of Alice Florence Golding, (baptised 17 October 1858) was married in Brisbane, Australia, to Francis McDonnell, and died 5 Feb 1942 at Ridge St, Northgate, Brisbane. They had 6 children, one of whom was killed in the First World War. Another, Madeleine, married John D. O'Hagan, who was Under Secretary for Justice, and had five children. Another daughter, Philomena, married William McConachie and had four children.
